Rare tree flowers for first time in 91 years | MNN - Mother Nature Network

At last, the staffs of Rowallane Garden in Northern Ireland get the chance to see flowers buds growing on the Goat Horn Tree after long waited of 91 years. This species of tree originally brought back from China, a willow family (yang jiao shu in mandarin, sourced from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carrierea_calycina) and when the flowers matured, it will transform into a curved resembled a "goat's horn."

However, this is going to be a mystery, why it is blossomed after 9 decades.
