Be prepared and always Be Alert!

After read and heard so many predictions about our Earth, it is hard not to think what's NEXT? when's Next?... Even it is not being predicted, more and more natural disasters happened at our neighbouring countries. You can just named it from floods, landslides, to earthquakes and typhoon, hurricane and even volcano eruptions. It is much often as compared to decades ago. And, yet what can I do, if it is fated to face or maybe I'd opted to be born at this last lifetime on Earth to ascend together with this beautiful Earth. But, what I clearly understand now is " There is no "take 2 in Life", so we shall appreciate every possible way to safe our life. That's why, we are preparing foods and clean waters at hometown. The old saying, it is better to be safe than sorry, truly, just be prepared and do whatever possible at this moment and whatever you can do to safe yourself and your family, at least.

And, below there is a story to share with you: -

老家一直流传着这样一个故事：古时候，老家西南方向二、三里路的地方，有一个村庄叫高家庄子，村里人男耕女织，日子过得殷实丰厚。一天，村里来了一位衣衫褴褛的老人，用两个筐篓担一担土沿街叫卖，却乏人问津。见无人买土，老人对村人说：“家有老母，断粮有几天了，家中没有什么东西，只得挑这担土换钱养母。”

村人从未没听过卖土换钱的奇事，不禁哄笑起来，一人道：“老头，这土有什么稀奇？到处都是，谁会买啊？”

老人说：“此物看似平常，但厚德载物，可救人于大难，求求哪个好心人可怜可怜家中老母，买下这担土吧。”

老人说完，另一人道：“土能救人？谁信？老头不是骗我们吧？”又引来众人一阵晒笑。

老人见无人买土，叹息道：“老汉我走街串巷，卖土送货（活）十几天，可惜至今无人要，可怜我那老母又要挨饿了。”

这时，一位高姓忠厚长者看见老人可怜的样子，心生悲悯，对老人说：“老人家，你的土我买了，给你三百钱，将土倒在庄外围子就行了，收拾收拾快回家吧，免得家中老母牵挂。”

众人见状，皆笑他痴，一哄而散。

此时天色已晚，卖土老人将土围着高姓长者的房屋撒了一圈，对高姓长者说：“货（活）给你了。”然后就离开了。

是夜，地裂天崩，暴雨如注。第二天，高姓长者出门一看，自己的房屋被土堤围着，堤外一片汪洋，邻居们已被洪水冲的荡然无存，只剩下他一家孤零零被土围着。高姓长者明白了：原来是卖土老人救了他们全家！老人撒的土挡住了洪水。洪水退后，高姓长者领着全家迁走了。

从这个故事中我们可以得到这样的启示：善可救己。正是高姓长者的善举救了他一家人。假如村人事先知道善举能够挽救他们，他们一定会帮助卖土老人。可是历史已经过去了，是不能重来的，村人也就没有再次选择的机会了，他们的教训只能留待后人去评说与借鉴。

The above story tells us, "helping other is helping ourselves." This recalled a story widely spread in the internet during my college times about someone(can't remember a woman or a man) who died in a flood and blaming God did not safe him/her even he/she is so faithful to God. And, she confronted God and do you know what God said to her?..

God said to him, "I did. I sent people to alert you to move, but you remained. When the flood flushed, I sent you a boat to safe you, but you refused a ride. Then, when water level rise up to the roof, I sent you a helicopter and you refused too."

Morale of the story: God is within us, or always with us, but we just do not sense His existence, that's why most of the time, He will sent a Messenger to alert us. Be alert, when a message carries with a similar or identical meaning for saving life, it is better you're cleared and know what you should do next. Should you stay or leave!
